Donation Link

Okay, I have spoken to all the mods and after a suggestion I was not fully aware was available from our webmaster, we have opted to put a Paypal donation link on the site. I have been completely opposed to this but we have had such positive response to the upgrades that I would like to continue to offer more. There are many features available that I would love to add, but naturally it increases my monthly expenses. I have put more into the site than I care to admit, but as you all know, I love this place and will continue supporting it to the best of my ability. It is no secret that I have ambitions that SWS will continue to grow. The mods and I are so grateful to all the members and we will always make a point of maintaining the intimacy we have.

I respectfully request that you do not discuss donation amounts with other members. This is how gossip begins. I do not want any pledges of donations or any amount comparisons and that is what would happen if posted. This is part of the reason I was so against it. If you post in the Site Donation thread, a simple, "count me in" or "HELL NO" will suffice. The site will continue as always to be free use to all members regardless of a donation or not. Just so you know, your sheer participation in the site encourages growth everyday so even if you can not afford anything, you are always valued. Whether it is a lump sum or $5 bucks a month, every single penny counts. As Sally Struthers says...."for the price of a cup of coffee..."

Regarding the banners, just so you know they have been fruitless and with the upgrades last week I hope that changes. I have grossed $65 since we opened Nov 1st, 2006. To continue supporting the site please use the banners and most importantly refer your friends. If you are playing a ring game and get into a chat with a fellow player, let them know about swspoker.com.

Jen I don't see a damn thing wrong with having a donation link. I'm sure most members know it cost to run a website like this one.

So, I am just suggesting getting some stars for donations...
