John you got all your money in preflop and had the bast hand. Chalk it up to it sucks. My guess is when Fuzzi raised he did not want a caller and was trying to advantage of your smaller stack. Then, he got lucky.

I think your first mistake was playing at a table named "JimmytheHat19"

First hand, you had no business calling $4.75 more with 88. Just let the 25 cents go there...do you really want to go to war with 88 hoping for a coin flip?? dude only had $11.25 so there was no way you were going to get paid off enough to make it worth calling the $4.75 anyways...

Second one sucks, but i seem to lose in that spot (PP against 1 overcard) about 75% of the time. Oh wait...you didn't even lose!!! I'm gonna have to go find some real bad beats before someone posts about losing a coin flip or an omaha hand...(oh wait, too late for that)

Yeah the second one sucks that you split, but at least you didn't lose. The first one I tend to agree with Doug that it was a steep call with 88. But hey, no one plays the same and I know a lot of people who would make that call. Was a bad suckmout though. I'm used to those beats. Thats why you don't see me posting much in here because I'm just not playing anymore.
