And I can think that it was a sketchy play with 2 very shitty starting cards. You got lucky. Sadly enough, even after taking over 3 months off of poker, I'm not shocked in the least to have been dealt that hand.

Dude it wasnt a nh at all.. but surely there are times when u see a hand and u look at the board and u think "fuck it i might get lucky" I could afford to lose the chips and so I did it... personally I would have been a bit pissed but just walked away.. the added incentive for the way I played is that I knew if I did by some fluke win you would be sooooooooooo pissed.. and in my twisted lil head that was very funny to me.. the risk was worth the gain!

ok, since i have not posted here in awhile i thought i'd share the "fun" of tonight's midnight madness.

about 20 minutes in i have 1700 chips or so...and QQ in early position. i don't like QQ much more than jen does so I fire off a 4x BB raise. button pushes all in, SB and BB fold and i call. it's a race, QQ vs AK - about what i expected (either chip up or save some time ) dude rivers the K and I am left with 70 chips.

next hand i throw my chips in, and win with the worst hand PF so i'm up to maybe 250. same thing next hand...and i win again with the worst hand PF. up to 600 or so. one more time, and yep...i've got the worst of it and i win again.

got to play now and i'm hanging on as the bubble approaches. first hand after the second break the bubble pops but i'm down to 360 chips when the BB puts me all in. i wasn't even watching but suddleny had 1200 chips. it was my K4 vs AQ. flop is XQ4, turn was X, river was 4.

2 BB's later i have 2500 chips, hand is folded to SB who raises. I have KQ and i push, SB calls with Q9 and hits the 9.

The point here is that I was all in 6 times. (mostly short stacked) Twice I had the best hand and lost. 4 times I had the worst hand and won. 6 of 6 all ins won by the worst hand... I'd check my HH folder and do the match, but you get the idea...good hands just don't hold up like they should!!

This caps off the past few days. Earlier to day i lost with a straight to a higher straight, a flush to a higher flush, ran into AA with KK (actually won that one). I am trying to build my roll and am playing good poker (not making many mistakes) but these hands just hit me big and it hurts lol
