Too late for sorry
Looks like the UK need a new political party too as social services and the NHS under the labour government are not doing what they are supposed to. All I seem to see when I look at the news is the death of young children dying at the hands of their carers, and official government organisations such as the nhs and social services failing to protect children all because of lack of F***ing communication.
Recently I posted Baby's Spine Snapped: Father James Howson Jailed For Life For Murdering Daughter Amy | UK News | Sky News It sickens me that things like this can be prevented by those who are supposedly professionals and know the signs. BBC NEWS | England | Manchester | Baby and toddler killed at house Then there is the nhs who may fail to diagnose conditions resulting in BBC NEWS | Wales | Baby died day after medical check My baby need not have died - Local & National, News - Belfasttelegraph.co.uk The biggest news story in England at the moment is the failure of social services to protect a 17 month old toddler. "He was seen 60 times by health or social workers during that period, around twice a week. However, close to his death he became unrecognisable, had more than 50 injuries or bruises, and an attempt had been made to cover up the crime. A postmortem examination revealed the boy had a broken back, eight fractured ribs, missing fingernails and toenails, multiple bruises and an injury to the inside of his mouth. He had also swallowed one of his own teeth. The court heard that his back had been broken by slamming him down over a bent knee or a bannister, which would have left him paralysed" BBC NEWS | England | London | Baby P council is 'truly sorry' Police officers and medical experts reccommeded not returning the child to its parent, yet because the mother was being "co-operative", social services decided to deliver the child's fate by handing him back to his mother. This case is said to be one of the worst cases of child abuse seen in this country yet he was returned to his parents??? What the fuck??? WHY!!!!!!!! What is sickening is when a mother can allow such things to happen to her baby because she is "in love" with a monster. Disgusting. Last edited by kazza1985; 11-13-2008 at 09:55 AM. |

I just don't understand some people. How can you hurt an innocent child??? It's absolutely disgusting. I hope those people rot in jail for the rest of their miserable lives. Even better, they should be sentenced to death in the same manner that caused their child to die.
It breaks my heart for those children who had/have to go through that abuse. Can you imagine how scared they were while they were going through all that abuse? How can anyone justify hurting a child? I go postal if someone even raises their voice at my kids, let alone lay a hand on one of them.

i don't understand it either, but once you start devaluing human life, it would seem that justification would become easier and easier.

Yes, the social workers can put some blame on themselves for not taking action when they obviously knew something was wrong. But you still can't take the blame away from the person that harmed the child. It all boils down to them hurting a baby/child. Yes, the social workers made an awful mistake which led to an even worse outcome. Unfortunately, slip-ups happen and children fall through the cracks of the system all the time. Yes, I would consider that negligence and those people should ultimately lose their job, but it still falls back on the parent or person who harmed/killed the baby/child in the first place. |
