U.S. to become "undeveloped" nation
for the non readers, doom and gloom in 3 easy you tube clips
![]() Peter Schiff (president euro pacific capital and Ron Paul economic adviser) From 2006 - 2007 (added bonus for Spaceboy - he trashes Arthur Laffer) More Peter Schiff: 10/28/08 predicts doomed economy under Obama Gerald Celente of Trends Research Predicts U.S. will become "undeveloped" nation Trends Research website - Celente also predicted the current economic mess. Lots of doom and gloom, and sure, if you have enough people saying enough things some of them WILL end up being right...but food for thought. What is scary is watching Arthur Laffer in the first clip. He was soooo wrong about the economy. Now I am not as pessimistic as these clips might lead you to believe, but being the eternal optimist with one's head in the sand is worse than being pessimistic IMO. The way i see it, so many of the hope and change crowd are not well grounded in reality. My only hope is that Obama is smart enough to realize that he needs to scrap his plans and take care of the economy.

I think that this guy is crediting Obama with being a robotard. If things don't exactly pan out, he'll be smart enough to change course. One would hope...

I would have so much to say about this ... but I will only say that if U.S becomes undeveloped nation, it won't be because of Obama ... I mean it doesn't take 1 year or 2 years to become undevelopped ...
In my mind if it happens, and I say IF IT HAPPENS, it will be because of the U.S. way of living , for the last 40 years ... and the 2008 facts : too much poverty, nation debt too high and spending without counting way of life I mean if everybody in the world would live like U.S citizens do , it would take 6 planet heart, right! ... ![]() Now considering that world = 6.6 billion and U.S. = 350 Million, that's 5% of the world population. Of course, out of that 5%, lot of them in US can't even afford US way of life ... In the last 8 years, US debt exploded and poverty also ... Don't think Obama can make it worst ... but I don't think he can put it back right on track neither ... so in a sense I do understand these pessimistic theories, except it won't be Obama's fault

Obama could try to get through the next 4 years by blaming everything that happens on Bush.

I won't disagree that we in the U.S. have taken on too much debt, but i do take offense to your criticism's of the U.S. and disagree strongly with your claims of U.S. "poverty" Why don't you define "poverty" for us Rob, and then I will post some facts about those classified as living in poverty in the U.S. ![]() Now, about our horrible way of life in the U.S. - I have a question for you here too. How much different is it in Canada or Europe or Australia?? Europe has an advantage in that the nations are smaller and thus transportation related consumption is significantly less, but otherwise I don't see a huge across the board difference. Yes, I'm sure the U.S. is at the top of the list...but really, if everyone lived by Canadian standards what would the difference be...5 earth's instead of 6?? That is still a huge problem...so the next time you go on about how many earth's the U.S. requires, please include your own country as well ![]() BTW, how many earth's does your lifestyle consume??? What would the world look like if everyone lived like me? i posted this before but can't find it....what figure do you come up with Rob??

According to the World Wildlife Fund's 2008 Living Planet report issued in October, the nations with the largest "footprint" are:
1) United Arab Emirates 2) United States 3) Kuwait 4) Denmark 5) Australia 6) New Zealand 7) Canada 8) Norway the fun graph of "footprints" is on page 14 of the report. keep in mind that the number on the left of the graph is the total hectares required per person - not the number of earth's required. we each get 2.1 hectares, so i assume that dividing by 2.1 would = the number of earths. That would mean the U.S. = 4.5 earths and Canada = 3.6 earths like i said, a bit less - but still unsustainable.
