You think THAT'S stupid? AIG sold her credit protection insurance for the whole amount and now we're on the hook for $400K! They just came and took all if the Snapple out of our refrigerators.

But this wasn't "something for nothing." She invested hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is a case of "nothing for something."

When I was in Benin West Africa some months back, I talked to people about this. (Nigeria is right next door.) They said that this scam depends on the greed of the people who get the emails. Without the greed, the scam would fail and cease to exist.

I think there is another necessary component and that is stupidity. No truly intelligent person would fall for this, particularly when the bank and law enforcement spells out the scam for you.

In this lady's case, it's a matter of greed and utmost stupidity. Incredible.

She is more unlucky than stupid, A few months ago I had an email from Prince Umbongo who needed my help, fortunately for me he's a genuine guy but there are some scams out there.

I did the same thing as this woman in 2005, but I was smart enough to get the prince's pet monkey as a hostage first.

We tried that. They were called "mortgage-backed securities". It was a huge disaster!

I'm smart enough to steer clear of the Nigerian scammers, I've got an American widow who's late husbands fortune is in Iran. She's genuine- I'm teaching her how to use spellcheck at moment.
