Who Will Win The US Presidential Election?
John McCain won the Republican Party nomination a while back.
Now that Barack Obama has won the Democratic Party nomination: http://network.nationalpost.com/np/b...y-clinton.aspx who do you think will be the next US president?

i think Obama wins relatively easily, say 54-55% vs McCain in the low 40's.
good friend of mine though with real track record politically thinks both Jewish people and white women (big-time Dem constituents) abandon Obama and he squeaks out a narrow W. |

With a democratic majority in both the house and the senate, i seriously hope people are smart enough to realize that neither party should ever have control all the way down the line. I'm not happy with McCain, but there is no way i can vote for Obama. Crap like the Lieberman-Warner global warming cap-and-trade bill will only be the beginning of the anti capitalist legislation that gets passed.

![]() I've heard a lot of people say (Hillary supporters - and there are quite a few of them) that if Hillary doesn't get the ticket, they will vote for McCain because they don't want Obama in office. If that's the case, I'd say McCain has it in the bag.

well, it's going to be awhile before the republicans have control of the senate or the house...so the only shot at "gridlock" is for McCain to win. after a bit of thought i do agree that it would probably work better the way you stated it...but that simply is not an option for at least the next 4 years.
