BTW, I said "caused" because the recent lack of sun spot activity has resulted in temperatures staying the same or cooling since 1998. (that's 10 years!!!)

ClimateChangeFacts.info

Another excellent site with many links.

If you want a good read then try "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman. Just starting it now but so far it's very fascinating.

I voted Natural cycles and the sun.

Man-made CO2 emissions will win, in your poll, though, because the Left has spent a great deal of time massaging the data and pushing this well organized hoax (IMHO).

I'd like to live in your world, where cities don't smog up from vehicle emissions, chimneys don't dump tons of toxins into the atmosphere, and pesticides aren't run off into our rivers and oceans.

I am a private pilot. I am well aware of man-made smog. I am certainly not against addressing it. I suspect we agree on that.

This thread, however, is about man-made global warming. I have given my opinion on the subject. We probably disagree on that.

i suggest anyone who believes this do some reading and ask themselves the questions i asked in the other thread.

What caused the other warm periods in Earth's history?? And why is this one any different if it began before we loaded the atmosphere with CO2??

Major volcanic activity as been the source of the other periods, which by the the way Will happen again.
Man isn't helping the problem though

The other warm up periods are different because Man wasn't running around (well kinda, but not really, cept for the last warm up) so you cant ask that question.

If we dont do something now, it will be to late, this is all man made, and we need to come together and fix the problem.

we all know what killed the Dino's. same thing that is Killing the atmosphere. Cow Farts. the next time a bill starts making its way through congress, we have to stand together and support it. Taxes on each cow will help reduce the gas levels emmitted. Just think of all thoes Dino farts, that caused one of the first warm ups and now, the only place we can see the dino's is on the Discovery Channel.

lets pull together and figure out a way to fit some type of filters on the cows ass.

Damn, I forgot to include cow farts in the poll

Quote:
The primary driver of the past climate shifts is believed to be orbital mechanics and solar variability, with some contribution from Earth geophysical processes, such as volcanic eruptions. It is also known that mankind's contribution to CO2 is just a small percent (3%) of the total amount. Lastly, we know that the Earth's temperature and the level of CO2 rise and fall roughly together, but it is not clear (not proven) whether this is cause and effect by either variable.
