I don't always take MF seriously, but I can assure it has nothing to do with him misspelling a word.

I guess your mileage is varying from mine; if someone puts themselves forward as being acquainted enough with a subject to oppose it, I would have thought they would know enough about it to be able to spell it correctly. Also, repeatedly spelling the same word incorrectly is not a typo. If you want to consider me a spelling snob, feel free. When our only method of communication is the written word, spelling is important.

I can spell lots of things, too - goat-felcher, assclown, tinfoil-hatted poncy little git (the goat-felcher one is tough - lots of people want to put a 't' in it). Hey, spelling's fun!

Well, if you read what I wrote, I did say people also have a difficult time with spelling. I know I am one of these people, which is why it doesn't bother me when I see people misspell something every now and then. Just because our only method of communication is the written word, doesn't give you the right to be persnickety.
