For keeping us from McCain and his Republican .. free enterprise lobbyist, who wanted to privatize Social Security ..

With the these big investment houses dropping like a house of cards in a hurricane. These were the people and corporations who lobbied without success to grab it, no thanks to McCain.

Hopefully that will be some good that can come out of this mess as Americans should be reasonably terrified of privatization into this horrendous stock market. Of course, people could privatize into treasuries and make a fucking fortune, but nobody can actually be that smart.

I'm not interested in a 3% annual return. I'm interested in regulating through oversight legislation. And laws which will allow common share holders to vote on the salaries and benefits of the executives and board members.

Social Security is backed by the treasury. The treasury buys the unpaid social security collected. Due to the low interest rate social security is almost broke.
