Congratulations to President-elect Obama! I sincerely hope that my cynical fear that he won't survive the first month of his presidency is wrong and that he is able to stabilize and refocus a once-great nation that is long overdue to rediscover the path back to greatness.

You have to admit Frank, that if the vote went the other way, you would have done the same thing that the McCain supporters did. You have been bitching and moaning for months now and if Mc Cain had won, we wouldn't have heard the end of it from you.

Having said that, both McCain and Obama were very classy and humble in their speeches. I had the utmost respect for both men and have hope for the future of our country.

the simple fact that you lash out when gigi simply stated her opinion based on what she has read her confirms that her opinion is dead on.

gigi has not said a damn thing to you during all of this, has kept quiet about the election in general, is one of the biggest sweethearts in LP and you go off because her view of your actions does not match the vision you have of yourself. well guess what, many people besides gigi see you as being less than respectful and civil. that you put down others for failing to have class is hypocritical.

i would think that some of your anger would be tempered by Obama's victory.

The fact is Obama supporters including myself have been bitching and moaning about McCain and had he won, I guarantee, I would still be bitching and moaning. Actually, I probably wouldn't be posting at all and just sulking. I think it shows a great deal of integrity for the McCain supporters who have shown respect to our new President by acknowledging him and not continuing to bash.

Barack Obama has won, which I figured he would. Now, I'm going to sit back, and watch all the hate, just melt away.


The Dem's also have control of the House, and the Senate.

The Citizens of this great nation have voted, and with that this is what we now have. I shouldn't hear any more hate, or fingers pointed. This may be a bit a nice breath of fresh air.
