Which crew would you rather roll with... the red (death penalty) club or the blue club (no death penalty)?

Hmmmm...

I'm not (see first page). Death is an easy way out! It surprises me that people want to see these people killed. Ok, I don't agree that tax payers money should be keeping them alive but I just feel death is such a quick and easy way of being punished. Keep them in prison and starve them to death would suit me but even then, that would be too quick.

Yeah, I really don't see how people equate a quick, painless, sanitized death with any form of punishment or justice for the most horrible crimes a person can commit. How about spending their entire natural lives in solitary confinement with no human contact and near total sensory deprivation? Supposedly, you become legally insane after like twelve months of that. Commit a crime when you're 19? Looks like a long road to hoe, buddy.

I hear the "why should be pay to keep the people alive" argument, but that doesn't account for all of the legal costs of the multiple appeals process which gets really expensive as well. Also, cost is not an excuse for solving a problem the wrong way. A lot of our countries' issues would disappear if we just went for the cheapest solution all the time regarless of what the quality of the outcomes are.

No there is no capital punishment in Canada.
And there are a few real sick people in prison that deserve to die.

Ever heard of Paul Bernardo...If not google and see what kind of sick shit this bastard did.

And if there was capital punishment in Canada...I would have a party after I throw the switch on the asshole who murdered my sister.

They have been debating this forever and there has never been any conclusive data to back it up.
