Capital Punishment

Here in Great Britain we do not have capital punishment. Although I'm all for forgiveness and rehabilitation there are some crimes that are soooo gut wrenchingly heinous, that I believe when guilt is proved beyond a shadow of a doubt (for example in the cases of multiple murders) then life should be forfeited.

I do not see why the tax payer should have to foot the bill for this bastard to spend time in prison where they get good food, clothes, healthcare, no financial stress (well they don't have to pay fucking utility bills or mortgage etc ffs)etc. Many prisons even have leisure facilities, such as gymnasiums. So it's not even a case of rotting in jail

So should we hang the bastards (our ex form of capital punishment), or let them fry, or perhaps even be humane and use the lethal injection?

BTW here the justice system has to give multiple life sentences to convicted prisoners to ensure they stayed locked up for a long long time (but that still doesn't always mean life )

It was far easier in the old days when most people believed in God, they'd justify capital punishment by leaving forgiveness/condemnation to God.
The maximum sentence for killing a baby is 14 years ( they normally do about 4/5) for some reason it doesnt count as murder!!!!

Helloooooooooooo we cannot have a debate if we all agree on killing the bastards .

What about discussing forms of capital punishment. Are there any states in the USA that do not have capital punishment? What state is "Death Row" in, or is "it" in all states that have capital punishment. What dictates the form used?

Are there any countries in Europe that do have capital punishment? What about Australia? I'm guessing since we share Queenie (we do still don't we? ) you'll be as we are in the UK . What about the Middle East, they still stone people to death... would you consider that more barbaric than being fried (I've heard sometimes it takes more than one (two...) surges to kill)....

Over to you

As a believer in spiritualism and life after death/ reincarnation and that the lives we live are to learn life lessons, I don't believe in capital punishment. Without going into what I believe happens to the soul after we die (and starting a whole new debate) I think killing them off is letting them off easily.

Also, if there is a God and if Jesus forgave all our sins, then these people will be accepted in to heaven and forgiven. To me, that isn't punishment.

When it comes to child killers, they go to prison and other criminals deal out their own punishment to these cowards. So do prison officers. Not that its right but neither was taking a child's life so I couldn't care less what prison officers or inmates do to these people.

Two weeks ago a woman in Somalia was buried up to her neck and stoned to death..her crime..adultery, the man walked away as the court decided he must have been seduced. That is barbaric.
I'd just hang them, get it over and done with, taking my revenge out on them by stoning etc would not not make me feel better.
