Calling All Democrats

Calling All Democrats (and anyone else who feels like voting).

As of February 13th, the Democratic Presidential Primaries is about dead even. Depending on who you believe, the delegate race is approximately (from Real Clear Politics)...

Barack Obama= 1260
Hillary Clinton= 1220
(2025 needed to lock it up)

Who will face John McCain in the general election? Why do you think that?

I would say Obama since he has a less shitty chance against McCain although I think that he is the worst candidate of the bunch.

I still can't figure out which of them I like better. I can't vote obviously, but I am just hoping for a democrat to take the seat this time - would be better for the world imo.

On a sidenote I find it odd with those "superdelegates" who will decide in case Hillary and Obama are still even when the public has voted. Isn't that system a little bit anti-democratic? For instance, several people who worked closely with Hillary are among them and Bill Clinton is a super delegate as well.....I sure wonder who he will vote for

There is a fairly large political push for all of the superdelegates to pledge their vote for the candidate who has won the popular election. Nothing is guaranteed though.

I voted in this poll for Obama because he has strong momentum. In November I'll vote for McCain because I agree with more of his positions.

Just curious...... Why do you hate Hillary so much. Why would you want her to be "crushed"? There is a large Hillary bashing contingent out there but apparently none of them are smart enough to say what Hillary has done so wrong.

Why, you ask? Simple. Hillary is an opportunist; she's ruthless and tries so hard to be macho that she makes me sick.

IMO Obama is the political change that America so desperately needs.

Opportunist how? Because she move to New York and ran for the Senate? Bobby Kennedy did the same thing and was beloved. He also used the "opportunity" to mold the Justice Dept into his vision

Ruthless? When was that such a bad quality. Ruthless people get rich and make changes. Bill Gates is ruthless. Got rich in the process. Lots of ruthless people succeed and lots of successful people are ruthless.

Macho? Uh, Susan...... she's made it just about as far as a woman has ever gone politically. Geraldine Ferraro was a face in the crowd. Hillary is a contender.

Please, understand that I haven't made up my mind yet. I just always see, usually from the right, people bashing a woman who has actually achieved things. I'm really not looking for a sound-bite President. I'm looking for someone who will get things done (pick up the phone, Mayor Bloomberg).

I'm curious what Barack Obama has has done to inspire people so much???
I have not heard a original idea from him yet, just we need change (no shit)
after 8 years of the Bush administration.
None of the leading candidate are addressing any issues that I feel really need addressing.
Mccain is 8 years past his prime and I think he will just be a extension of the Bush administration on his foreign policy's and diminishing our constitutional rights.
This does not mean that I am endorsing Hillery. Just wish Ron Paul got a little more face time, he did have some innovative Ideas about government and how they should be run.
All I can say is this present two party system really needs overhauling desperately, we need more choices, politicians only vote party lines now and not what they were elected for. to speak for the people that voted & got then elected To represent the people..

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government. Thomas Jefferson

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. Thomas Jefferson
