I picked 'Unforgiven,' but if you asked again tomorrow I might pick 'Schindler's List'. I absolutely hated Braveheart - just watched it again recently and still hated it. I would give 'American Beauty' my third pick.
I've never seen 'Shakespeare in Love.' Someone tell me what they love about it. I'll have to check that one out. |

It was a toss up between Braveheart and Forest Gump.

Damn, this one wasn't easy either.
My favorite movie would be Shakespeare and I voted accordingly. It's one I end up watching about every other month. However, when it comes down to movie making and which one is the best, Schindler's List and Forrest Gump are unprecedented in what they did, how they did it, and how impressive they are. Titanic was incredible just with the scope and accomplishment of making it. Braveheart was a great story, and although I still laugh at Mel's hair extenstions when I see them, I still enjoy watching it. I remember watching American Beauty and being absolutely blown away by it. Another example of film making that goes above and beyond. I had to break 'em down: 1) Schindler's List 2) Forrest Gump 3) Shakespeare in Love 4) Titanic 5) Braveheart 6) Unforgiven 8) American Beauty 9) The Silence of the Lambs 10) Dances with Wolves |
