My top three would be:
1) Dances With Wolves 2) Unforgiven 3) Schindler's List I thought Titanic was mostly wretched, with a paint-by-numbers romance novel substituted in for what is actually an extraordinary story (although the special effects were cool and I almost cheered when Leo died) and Silence of the Lambs was singularly unremarkable, especially in comparison to the Manhunter (the first movie to feature Hannibal Lector). I still can't believe either of those shows earned nominations, much less awards.

 )1b.Forest Gump 2.a Silence of the Lambs- fantastic!!!! 2b.Shakespeare in Love would have to tie with 2c-English Patient(which I hated the first time I watched it- but grew to appreciate it more as the years went on) 3.American Beauty This is WAYYYY to hard!!
