Quote:
(Takes a deep breath) Kyle Orton, while his record as a starter (12-7) is good, let's take a deeper look into the "Orton Files"
Now, granted, his 2007 numbers are up from his 2005 numbers, and against the Packers, Vikings and Saints (A contender, a pretender, and the Saints) He has looked better than he has previously. But before you make a statement like "his starting record speaks for himself", don't kid yourself. He may be 12-7 as a starter, but it was the BEARS, and not Kyle Orton, that made then 12-7. Just the facts, ma'am.

Now, granted, the O line sucked for Chicago in '05, which accounts for Orton's stats then.
I say start him. He'll do well.

Any chance on McNabb coming back home? No offense to Bears fans, but the team has an equally mediocre chance with any of the QB's on the roster as the starter right now. Do you think McNabb could pull it together for one more great year?

OK, please tell me you are kidding?
Pull himself together. That's a funny one. OK, here we go again. I have a special bond with Donovan McNabb, since he was my fantasy QB this year, and after his -21 point (yes, MINUS twenty-one points), I did a little soul searching: Yes, while Donovan McNabb has been a very proficient passer since his 2004 campaign, he has not played a full season since 2002. And while his combined passer rating over the last four seasons is something a shade over 94 points, he has not had a rushing TD since Week 5 of 2006 (Oct 8). Less rushing means more sacks, as shown by his 14 sacks in the last four games of the season, or his twelve (yes, twelve) sacks in Week 4 of this year. Beaten and battered, he will not fair better in Chicago. Although the running attack is fairly similar like what he has in Philly, he still lacks the receiving core to be an effective passer. Which is one of Orton's problems. Chicago's problem is not the QB. Look elsewhere to solve your offensive woes, my friends.
