it's great to read and practice what techniques you have read are applicable to your game. you can check on some books from stickys or posts in this forum. you can check on the news feeds also. that's what i'm doin now reading the rules and techniques then practice on free poker sites before i turn myself in.

Only books I've read are Phil Hellmuth's Play Poker Like the Pros (SUCKS, in my opinion), Gus Hansen's Every Hand Revealed (I REALLY enjoyed, gives you some insight on exactly how and why he played the hands he did in winning the Aussie Millions tournament), and I also have Full Tilt's Strategy Guide Tournament Edition (very good book, lots of tips and strategy from many of the top pros covering many game types). Maybe one day I'll get to reading some of the more famous books like Super System or Harrington's Hold Em books or Sklansky's books...

Although it's not a "poker book", Fooled by Randomness by Nassim Taleb will improve your play more than any poker book out there.
